The State Capital Group's 2008 International Meeting will be held
from June 19 - 20 in Barcelona, Spain.
The meeting will kick-off at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, June
19, with a session focusing on current developments in Competition
Law. On Friday morning, the meeting sessions will begin with an in-depth
program on M&A agreements and a cross-border comparison of key
legal provisions and cultural differences arising in corporate transactions
closing in various jurisdictions around the world. The general counsel
of Deutsche Bank is expected to join us as our luncheon speaker on
Friday.
Friday afternoon sessions will include a venture capital program featuring
Blair MacLaren, Investment Manager, Active Capital Partners; a marketing/business
development session led by Nick Jarrett-Kerr of Kerma Partners, who
advises law firms on leadership, management and strategy; and a program
on litigation developments. On Friday night, attendees will gather
for a dinner at Montjuic El Xalet, a venue with breathtaking views
of Barcelona, located opposite the funicular railway and unusual cablecar
leading to the top of Montjuic Hill.

Abogados will sponsor a bus tour of Barcelona on Saturday, June
21. The tour will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and feature typical
