and honorary westerners, to the Western Regional Meeting June 24-26 in Juneau,
the capital of Alaska.
Juneau's dramatic setting, between grand mountain
peaks and the bustling waterfront of the Gastineau Channel, is a perfect location
for a meeting of the western states and the western provinces of Canada. The rainforest
climate features lush terrain, vibrant wildflowers, and unparalleled opportunities
to view glaciers and fish for salmon and halibut.
The meeting site will
be the classic Baranof Hotel in
Juneau's downtown historic district. In addition to the meeting's interesting
topics and networking, we will offer activities that allow members and their families
to experience Juneau's rich historic flavor, see the glaciers, get out on the
water, eat some wonderful food, catch salmon, and enjoy Southeast Alaska. The
highlight of this event will be a floatplane adventure to a historic wilderness
lodge to enjoy a delightful fresh wild Alaska salmon dinner.
